So guess what i have in my shop now. A G35 w/ brembos & an Evo 9. I've measured both and the Evo's are bigger, and they also have a larger clamping surface than the G's (i assume the G's brembos are the same size as the Z's). So is there a machinist out there who'd like and Evo setup to demo & make brackets for, I got them here & I can send.
Would anyone be interested in buying these brackets to adapt Evo brakes? I know i would anyone else?

good luck.

ask 935 about their nightpager kits....

robbert had great ones made (way better then the orginals) and had them at a great price and he couldent give them away.......

How much are evo brembos? I bet it will not be worth it in the end since we already have a few BBKs out there to choose from.

About $400 for a pair of rotors.
and $200 for a pair of pads.

So around $1,200 just for factory Brembo pads and rotors all around.

A vendor might be able to get them cheaper somewhere though and sell with the kit?

the only reason the nighpager setup never took off is the rotor issue IMHO...

if it was a simple bolt on without needing machined parts it would be far better...

not to mention arz's kits aren't much more expensive and are arguably better...

It would be nice, but you're headed in the wrong direction. Most MKIII owners want cheaper, not better and more expensive.
Well yeah, me too, thats why i just need a bracket to fit the Evo brakes. YOur not buying a whole kit, but a bracket

I know those things cost an arm and a leg. The rotors arent 400 though, i could get the OEMs in the $100 area, i'm a vendor and have wholesale accounts. Now upgraded rotors will cost more, but you would be paying that anyways to upgrade the rotors. That calipers would kill you. And thats why you dont buy them new. Look for a used set, and EVo that upgraded its brakes, or get them off a wrecked car.

But yeah, i'm still trying to figure out how much it would all run with brackets and the used brake setup. I may just go w/ ARZ's also. Anybody know how far down on the rotor fin, the ARZ willwood clamps down? The Evo uses almost 3" of the fin! Like 2.80 where as the Z's area was only over 2" like 2.2". See, big difference in grip. Plus the pads on the Evo are longer so there's more friction surface. Hows the ARZ?

z calipers are like 90 bucks at a part store.

like I said 935 had the worst time trying to get them to move.

go ahead and make 10 sets, but I have a feeling you will be sitting on them for a LONG time.

Yeah with out a kit not many will buy them.. and since there is already support on the forum for a BBK it will be harder to sell.

This is exactly why I didn't get the Nightpager kit. I didn't want to have to modify a rotor or use a spacer ring that could fall off (I've seen photos of kits where there was no ring installed).

problem with the nightpager is that it costs nearly what a aftermarket kit does and doesn't bolt up.. if you could come up with a bolton kit for like 700-800 for the front I think it'd sell

I wonder how much IS-F brakes are going to be..

I think the best bet is Arz kit!! For $1200 you get so much and the kit is pretty much bolt on!! Once I saw that kit I was sold!! I also think it is a good idea for the MKIII community to have lots of different options, so go for it. I just don't think it will be the way I go.

I assume that this is for all the way around, not just the rears and the fronts. What would the pricing be (estimate) and would this make it a bolt on affair if the user were to pick up the calipers and rotors?

BTW, will either the g35 or the evolution brake setups fit under 16" wheels?

No

I just need brackets made to fit these Evo brakes on. I could get the Evo fronts for about $5-600 depending on the price of the bracket. How much were the brackets themselves? That should be about the same price Evo brackets would run

I've seen plenty of front and rear Evo calipers, very reasonably priced on E-Bay (used of course) that might make it worthwhile. Aren't the centerbores considerably different though?

Added: No less than 3 sets available right now on E-Bay! Looks like a decent option, but I still think the ARZ kit is simpler, and maybe superior calipers too.(?)

Has ARZ fixed the e-brake problem yet with his BBK?

he's taking deposits to start it...

but yes there is a solution

Ask arz about his kit... The rotors are HUGE, the calipers are HUGE, and it comes with everything, brakelines, not to mention the customer service...

There is a reason he doesn't make partial kits...
