Hello everyone, where can I get a replacement radiator for a 91 MK3 turbo 5spd? I found one online for about $90 I was hoping you guys would know where to get one for less. I don't need anything crazy just the same as stock or better if it doesn't cost more than the one I am looking at, also by better I just mean an all aluminum radiator not two row or anything. Thanks in advance and sorry if this is in the wrong section.

Your best bet will probably be car-part.com or your local wrecking yard (if they have any supras). Also, check in the parts for sale section on here. Other than that, a quick google search shows a couple for about $85 on partstrain.com, and Rockauto has one for $90. Seems like that's about what you'll have to pay for a new one.

Thank you very much, I don't think any junkyards around me have MK3s but my friend says there are quite a few in the junkyards near him but they are far away from me. I'll check those places out.

I looked up the one on partstrain and it says automatic, turbo, will I have any issues installing it on a manual or would I have to make modifications?

ah I figured it wouldn't really matter but a friend of mine told me the ones for autos mean they modified or need modifications to fit or something like that. I just need one that fits in without any issues.

$90 is extremely cheap for a replacement radiator.
If you think that's pricey, wait till you have to replace a driveshaft bearing or a control arm.
Personally, i think a dual core radiator is one of the smarter reliability upgrades for the supra, especially the turbo model-
As long as it's not a mishimoto.

I've been running a Mishimoto on my car for 8 months no problems. Curious, any reason you dont recommend a mishimoto?

I am not saying $80 is pricey I am just trying to get a feel of the price for this part and it seems that $80-90 is a good deal.

I am curious as well from what I have heard Mishimotos are pretty good.

The auto radiator has a extra hookup on the bottom for tranny fluid to run through, just put a small rubber plug on it and your fine.

It's all the same, I just took one from a automatic 7M-GE and used it for my 1JZ R154 last weekend.

+1 for Rock Auto, 95 shipped (5% SM discount) isn't bad.

Actually, they're different -- the radiator I pulled from my car when it went down wasn't a 'turbo' radiator. I remember when I ordered a new radiator cap from the dealer, the cap I got was listed for my car (91 turbo), but didn't fit my radiator. Come to find out, I needed a cap for a 'non-turbo' car. Not sure what else is different between the turbo and non-turbo radiators, but the cap at the very least is different. Physically -- yes, they fit...but not sure how they're different internally.

I'll play it safe and find one for a manual turbo lol

It seems you guys are right the radiator for an auto can be used on a manual just plug up the hole for the transmission oil port but can't use a manual radiator on an auto because of that.

Improper radiator height, incorrect inlet/outlet sizes, multiple reports of cooling fan strikes.

This is second-hand info, though. Just search "mishimoto", and see all the threads. Scary.

I rather go with a new one bud lol I don't want another crack to happen with a radiator that has been sitting for 10 years getting dry and brittle. Thanks though.

I bought my replacement for my 20 year old unit from Toyota. I am overall not too happy. It is aluminum, not copper/brass. And it was made in China, not Japan even thought it was NipponDenso. And it doesn't have a full seal. I just haven't dealt with it. If you are looking for a radiator for $90, you need a different car.

I was just seeing how much these radiators go for and it seems like they cost around $100 for an OEM replacement and for all aluminum they go from $150 to $300+ and I don't need anything that excessive I just need an OEM like replacement. Thanks for the help and advice everyone.
