well i finally wore out part of my engine hoist lol... that thing gets passed around here in tampa then well...*insert your favorite analogy* lol....

anyways i bought the hoist from a pepboys forever ago...the sticker that was on it that im sure had some sort of product information has long since gone....so now i have no idea what brand etc it is to get a replacement wheel for it...

my question is does anyone here have a pepboys engine hoist that they still have the sticker on and could tell me what it is...

OR

does anyone here know where i could get replacement wheels for an engine hoist...i would almost think they are semi generic...

any help would be appreciated!

those things are called castors arent they? take off your old one and find one with similar dimensions.

dont cheap out with some plastic crap! its gonna have to be able to roll with some ease even with several hundred pounds of weight on it.

im sure a place like grainger will have a large selection of them.

yeah, he meant casters.

i vote the "remove the similar wheel and bring it to some sort of supply store" like home depot, or something like that.
thats your best bet.
probably cheaper than buying a replacement wheel "meant" for the hoist

i bet its not a caster style wheel...

is it a steel wheel that doesnt swivel? just has a pin thru the leg..thru the wheel and thru the other side of the leg?

yeah, probably with a nylon strip to act as a "tire" or something like that. it doesnt have to be a "caster" specifically, but it's the best way to describe it.

no matter what wheel it is, you should be able to find it somewhere locally, and probably cheap too.

ok, ive been pondering this.
go to like K-mart or wally world, or Kroger, and grab a shopping cart, bring it to the car, and take the wheels off the cart leave the cart wheelless in the parking lot, and bam u got some wheels for free.
