replacement mount (HKS Coilovers)

Hey guys I've recently bought a 2nd hand set of Hiper D's coilovers from someone locally in Australia who recently got them from Japan.

Didn't inspect them too carefully when I bought them as I knew the guy, but when I took them home to clean them up I noticed this (see attached)


it's not so much the rust that bothers me but I'm not exactly sure how that would crack. Any one know how this could have happened.


So anyway should I simply bring it back to this guy to get a refund
or
can these mounts be sourced easily. Because I can't find them, all I seem to keep bumping into is adjustable pillow mounts but only for silvias......

imo it depends on how much you got them for, you can easily replace them w/ the tein pillow ball mounts,

the logical thing to me is that the guy made the coilover go up really really hard and fast and probably bottomed out... i would inspect ALL of them very very closely...

honestly i would ask for a refund... cause theres probably more issues with them.

I would contact HKS, if they won't sell them separately, return them. You don't want that on your car.

How do I contact HKS? On their website they don't provide any email or phone numbers to the general public.

Yes, they're out there, I've got Cusco ones on mine

oh, I'm sorry I thought I quoted part of your last post, I was refering to getting ones with regular camber tops. Almost any of your name brands are going to fit pretty well as long as you stay away from the China crap.

You will not find ones with upper camber adjustment. Because our cars are double wishbone and it would not do a thing except move the coilover in or out without much affect to the alignment.
