I suppose I should have asked my question a little better. I found the sites you all listed, I was looking for a place the community had an opinion about. I usually use resellerratings.com for online shopping but none of those sites have any reviews. what I want to know its whats a trustworthy place to get one.

First, be sure you have keyless entry. It was a semi-rare dealer-installed option for 91-92's (could be used on 89-90's with modifications), and not very many cars have it at all. I can't remember the part number for the remote, but I can check into it.

All 86.5-92 USA Supras have an alarm system, NOT all of them have keyless entry (most do NOT).

So what would I need to make keyless entry work for my 89 alarm? Ive gotten very close to buying an alarm system just to be able to unlock by hitting a button.

Thanks! =p

I agree. If you must have keyless entry then your best option today is to get an aftermarket alarm.

All of the TDSE kits are gone. You might still be able to find one on Ebay or something but it is a very rare item to find these days - like finding an HKS TEMS controller.

Well id like to keep the factory alarm, or at least some kind of alarm system. And utilizing the stock system sounds like it would be the cheapest option. I know a key less entry kit can be had for less than $100 installed though. So, yeah. =D

Just get that remote from the dealer. It's a basic 2 button oval remote, and should be easy to find.

To program it, hold down the green button on the alarm brain with a toothpick while turning the ignition on. Wait for the red status LED to illuminate, then hit a button on the remote- it should program.

Does that even work for my 89 theft deterrent computer?

Could I snag it from a 91 or 92? Is it a PITA to make work?

I just fear having an alarm installed by someone because they'll most likely do some hack job.
