I'm wanting to replace all my hoses and vacum lines as probably half of them are cracked or will crack and I'm sure I have boost leaks out the waazoo. Can someone point me in the right direction on if someone has a kit or what sizes I should go buy in bulk so I can cut them as I need them.

Forgot the mention this is for a 89 7mgte.

They're not cheap, but Toyota is the best as far as new heater hoses.
Either Toyota or Samco are my preferences.
As far as vacuum hose, just go to a parts store and buy a 10' section of it.

I purchased a hose techniques kit to replace all the vacume lines, it cost something like $75.
The rest I ordered from toyota, if they lasted the first 15 years, I figured it was worth it.

I have noticed that some of the hoses are very hard...were the hoses always like that or just ended up that way? And how important is it that you replace it with a hard type hose?

No. They should be very pliable. If you think that one of the hoses would crack or break if you were to twist it into a knot, then it's time to replace it.

I have bitten the bullet and ordered all new water hoses from Toyota (~$120) and silicon vacuum hosing. All is well except...there are a couple of small water hoses that seem to fit on the back of the head/block near the firewall. How in the devil do you get those things off and replace them? There seems to be no clearance at all. Surely, you don't have to pull the engine... Thanks for the help in advance.

Are you talking about the one on the back of the head? Then yeah, it's very possible with the engine in.

I am getting the list together of the hose part numbers (purchased in several lots on different invoices) but will post within a couple of days with hope that it helps. To Afunk, how do you get that hose out and replace it (about six inches long, somewhat curvy, maybe one-half inch diameter)? Thanks for the help and it's good to be here.

Are you referring to the heater control valve hoses? Best bet to those is to remove the evap cannister and then unbolt the heater control valve to get better access to the clamps. The 90 deg elbow at the back is a real PIA. In my case I used some extra long 45 degree needle nose pliers to reach the clamp. Just barely reached it. The other heater hose on the intake side of the engine is best done from underneath unless you want to remove the intake manifold.

Okay, first apologies for taking so long to make this post, but life pressures kept me from playing with my car and like-minded friends, but here goes: these are the numbers for all the water hoses for an 89 Supra Turbo, as provided by the local, friendly Toyota parts counter.

16267-42010 Bypass Hose
16282-42010 Bypass Hose
16283-42010 Bypass Hose
16285-42010 Turbo Water Hose
16284-42011 Turbo Water Hose
16571-42010 Radiator Hose
16572-42010 Radiator Hose
87245-1B220 Water Hose
87245-1B251 Water Hose
87245-1B262 Water Hose

Total price on these, reflecting the 20% discount I get as a volume buyer (too many Toyotas in my shed!) came out to $174.09 before taxes. You may or may not be able to do better. Hope this helps all! Len
