Im looking into getting replacement coolent and vaccumm lines, some sites have "kits" but im guessing they are just going to send me a few feet of a few different sized hoses. Has anyone bought one of hese kits? Ill post a link of what im talking about in a sec. BUt should I get one of those or should go order them peice by peice from a toyota dealer ship?

This is a kit that im thinking about purchasing but again. Im thinking that are just going to send me a bunch a different size hosing. but if they are oly vaccum lines the hosing will be ok. If its the coolent lines ill probably be getting those from toyota correct?

The kit you've linked to is just straight lines, none of the molded ones.

I do seem to recall that someone recently released a real silicone kit that had all the molded hoses... samco or some such. There was information on here about it. Let me have a peek through my looking glass... err, I mean, search engine.

No kit available from Toyota. If you call one of the parts departments - like Mark at Vancouver Toyota in Washington - they can put together the individual parts for you, of course.

You're correct about the vacuum lines - even from Toyota it's just measure and cut. :)

So I should just give them a call, and hope for the best on the price? That looks like its going to be my only option.

Or you could buy the Samco kit. It's not a shoddy company, and itll probably be cheaper than going to Toyota for each individual piece ( you can even get them in spiffy new colorways) Not everything is better OEM. Look at our speakers, HG, and electrical curcuits, just to name a few. :3d_frown:It's wondrous my car doesn't explode every time i glance at it.

But people said the Samco kit doesn't fir the LHD models, and mine is a LHD. So i don't know if i'm willing to chance it, cause no one knows if this kit fits.

If I remember correctly I believe they said that all of the hoses fit except the heater hoses. However, I do think its time someone arranged a GB for some LHD sets.

yeah i don't know, at the time i bought the kit i don't think they had the pictures for either

but it came with all the right hoses, just in a roll for the different sizes

just removed your old rubber hose and cut to length the new silicon hose

Is that what it is? You have to cut your own hose? It says it comes with instructions and lengths so I guess those would help...but idk.
