I just got the head back on after installing a new composite gasket w/arp bolts. I tried to start it and blew out the intake mani gasket and its throwing air out. I havent gotten the car started yet. First off I should have known better than to use it because the gasket was a paper type. I ordered a felpro set that will be coming in tomorrow.
I know the timing is right I have triple checked it and redid the entire procedure twice.
Any reason that just cranking on the engine should have enough pressure to even blow the paper intake mani gasket?
Could this cause the car to not start? It seems like its wanting to fire but just wont start up. Cranks over smooth and when I tested it by hand there were no hard spots when turning it over.
Wiring has been checked over a million times all sensors are plugged in and all grounds are clean and connected.
Any advice would help out a lot.
