Why am I seeing all these supras that look like they have no vaccum system at all on them. I thought my eyes are just playing tricks on me but I looked at the CFX supra and didnt see one hose...maybe im just tired. Can anyone explain this for me.

well, the majority of the vaccum system runs the EGR, vsv's, heater control valve, and cruise control. A lot of people remove thier EGR, charcole can, and cruise. The only vaccum lines that are really necessary are to a BOV, and the FPR...

Exactly. After you give up on most of your accessories, you don't need much in the way of vaccuum. And after you throw out your stock ECU and run standalone, you don't need many wires, either.

Yes.

On a stock car, these serve a lot of purposes. Everything from providing a vent for your gas tank and running your EGR so you can pass smog to adding fuel pressure under boost and making your car start better when warm, plus increasing the idle when you turn hard in parking lots and controlling your cruise control.

I'm sure they do more things that I can't think of off the top of my head.

So yeah, you want to keep a lot of that on a daily driver..., but on a weekend toy in a non-smog check state.... just about anything can go. My turbo car has so far given up it's cruise, A/C, and various other items. Most of them were donated to my N/a daily driver to fix it's problems lol
