removing the plugs in the crank webs?

how the hell do you do it?

my dad and i tried to drill out the little dents they put in the corner, but they were just on there too damn tight.

is there an easy way? i need to clean out my crank really bad. i need these things out!

They just unscrew!

Get the correct size inhex socket and a breaker bar!

but they have been 'peened' to prevent them from unscrewing... so do we have to drill those out or what?

I dont think you need to clean the crank THAT well. If they are that solidily in there, I would doubt there is much, if any at all, nastiness under them.

My machinist was amazed how much crap came out of those area's. If it's possible take them ALL out.
