Removing the last wire from the harness to the tranny (86.5)

So Im taking off my head, lng story short I got ONE wire left to remove to get my harness out of the way, its connected to the tranny and the connctor is WHITE and is a cylinder shape. I dont know hwo to unclip it, its pissing me off. It looks like theres a piece to depress to unhook it but it wont budge, any ideas? This is the last piece so I can get the harness out of the way to remove the head.

theres no tab, its more or less looks like 2 brackets something slides under to push the little button thats like a triangle shape or so, I tried many screw drivers, none. If I need to take a pic I will, just wanted to see if I could explain it without. Hands are a mess

There "should" be a little tab that sticks out that looks like you'd press it to release but you lift it.

Sounds like it's been snapped off, there should be another connector higher up a square one from memory up near the starter?

I removed the one from the starter, they arnt connected, this one runs off the main harness line, between my intake manifold, (between 4 and 5) and the line to the starter goes next to it. this one continues to the underbody and connects to the wire hanging off the transmission. Its under the drivers side.

Im an idiot, I read what you wrote. Sorry, let me re-explain. The wire coming from teh harness goes straight to this connector, nothing in between them. There is a spot where the wire is connected with butt connectors. Think someone had some fun with this thing earlier in life.

You know whats messed up, I can actually see this shit better in the pic than with my own eyes outside, this shit does look broken. Dammit, I might have to cut this bitch off.

I knw this makes me dumber but ur the fuckin man, I swear I didnt realize that tab was there, it felt connected as part of the connector, not anything that lifted. Thank you so much, now I can finish this thing tomorrow.

you were in the SAME EXACT boat as me...it took me 10-20 minutes under there cleaning and looking around (no jacks on at the time...blah!!) and i finally got it! lol... i just went through all this.
