Removing stock E-brake handle?..

I want to replace my e brake handle because its all beat up..how do you manage to get that leathery cover off? and button.

As far as I know, you can't put it back on, the only way to pull the leather off is with a razor blade.

The button unscrews, and the handle itself is bonded to the metal IIRC.

in ebay.co.uk they sell a leather sleeve that you can put over your stock ebrake handle and wont have to take it apart.
