i think i should listen to my gf when she tells me to stop taking out stuff.... but i wont :D

anyhow, as some of u already know, i live down here in the tropical paradise of Puerto Rico, where heaters serve as frying pans cuz we dont need anymore heat than wat we've got.

anyways, i plan on getting one of the 2 models of FFIM's offered here in SM (great job u guys). i honestly plan on getting rid of the ISC cuz the car already idles badly when it's first turned on for a minute or so.

also, i have heard about ppl getting rid of the VCV's (i think that's how they are called....), but some complain about some issues which i dont remember wat they were. can i remove them without having to worry about anything serious? (bad idle for a minute really doesnt matter to me).

also, any other stuff made by corporate america :evil2: :icon_evil for you poor americans and canadians (and everyone else that has to worry about cold weather during christmas :biglaugh:) that i can remove?

and another thing..... im also removing the CAI, so can i remove the plug that goes connected to the engine block and block it off?

thanks again guys! the car has been moving better than expected ever since everyone here has been helping me out with direct answers.

1. replace your ISC with a working one, preferably new
2. Whats a VCV?
3. just find what you don't need and take it out.

VSV, Vaccum switching valve.
You can get along without a ISC.
I've removed all of my VSVs, and had NO issues at all. I have an ISC, because I have AC, and I like it. PS has a valve built in to compensate, and it works pretty good, as long as you still have that little hard pipe running along the front of the motor to route air into the intake mani.

Maybe move the battery to the back, place the overflow bottle in its place, and if you no have A/C,remove all the piping and associated crap so your radiator will get better airflow.Jes? elSupra muy bueno!!! AYE AYE AYE!!!!

how do you delete the ISC? do you just plug the hole for the line or what, and what advantages does it give. I dont have P/S or A/C by the way

Yo ucall up Ron Ramirez, (or seth) and give him all of your money, then he builds you A beautiful FFIM, and you tell him you won't be needing your ISC, so he doesn't weld a flange on for it, and your engine bay starts looking like Duanes.

u have never heard of Puerto Rico, have u? no A/C here would be the equivalent of turning down that girl from your dreams u wish was real.

already doing the battery in the back ordeal while replacing its spot with the overflow bottle (might make a new one that doesnt look as bad as the stocker).

already removing the ISC and using Ron's FFIM (told ya i didnt care about bad idle while cold). i gotta give Ron what money i have left and my left arm. hopefully he wont charge me a foot for S&H.

gonna get the EGR block off plates.

and thanks for the correction on the VSV's IHI :icon_bigg
thought it was VCV. my bad.

and the AYE AYE AYE, that's from Mexico ;)

yes, i have that little black tube that goes in front of the engine in a very inconspicous way.

took out the stock tube that's supposed to "cool down" the PS fluid. gonna get another oil cooler and using that to "cool" it instead.

and nobody answered my CAI question :(

u bastards!

damn it. sorry for all the errors I have been making this week guys. I have been posting from university while doing some projects, so I get confused and keep making mistakes.

i meant the CSI, Cold Start Injector.
