Im putting some new stock pistonsW/rings into my N/A. the manual says I need to remove the glaze from the cylinders before insatalling the new pistons.

I got the tool and everything but I dont wanna mess this up. Has anyone done this before? Is it hard to do? Any advice helps.

Its got three prongs with rectangle blocks on the ends, I guess theyre made of stone. It looks like what the manual had pictured.

Looks like that.

Im mainly worried about the crosshatching on the cylinder walls.

I try to stay away from those as it's easy to slip and mark up the bore.

Make sure you use an even up and down motion have a helper spray some CRC in to clear the stines during the process and when you withdraw the Hone make sure it's still spinning don't stop and drag it out.

I prefer these>>

The faster/slower Vertical movement will change the angle.

You'll get a feel for it fairly quickly just don't spin the hone too fast and take your time.

Also be careful on the downstroke so you don't pop it out the bottom and destroy the stones.
