Could I mess something up doing that? I'm trying to identify my turbo and was asked to measure both inducer and exducer to get a definate answer. By removing the compressor housing could I ruin the turbo? Do I need any special tools, or will the common wrenches do?

Ok, I took off the housing and measured both inducer and exducer. I used a the sophistacted method of using a measuring tape and the eyeball. I saw a 2.250 inducer and 3.00 exducer. I looked at this http://64.225.76.178/catalog/comp_wheels.html to compare and see what I have. From what I can compare it to it looks to be a T04e 57 or 60 trim. It could also be a T04b 60-1 or Super-H. What I really need is good slide caliper to find out its true measurment. I'm really hoping it's going to be the 60-1, but I'm getting a feeling it's a 57 trim. Well, the guy I bought it from said it was a 60-1. I got it pretty cheap, so I guess I shouldn't be too upset if I find out it's a T04e 57trim. We'll soon see.

It is probably alright to remove it (I see you already did) as long as you don't mess with the alignment of the wheel or ding it up.
