Hey all im changing out my old crap compressor for a new one ,and I wanted to know if I could pull the compressor out from the buttom of the car or do I have to take the altenor out to pull it from the top?

only thing i did to remove mine was unbolt it and pull it up from the top
i dont have a fan shroud either but i dont think it will get in your way
took about 15 mins to pull it out

For what its worth, I struggled a lot with mine. Installing it in car is a pain. Not like the starter, but definitely a pain. I'm not sure it clears the subframe through the bottom.

Doesn't make it seem too complicated. I haven't actually pulled mine yet, but I don't think that it would be that big a deal.

It's not that hard. I had a little more ease then most because I had my intake mani off. But it's super easy even with it on.
Was a pain in the ass for me using basic hand tools. I had forgotten the one ratchet wrench when i needed it. Had to do it when i did my timing belt.
