okay, so i picked up this '88 7mge supra at an auction for cheap as hell, my first one actually...figured the best way to learn the car was to buy a project. so i'm aware that you can relieve fuel pressure by pulling the fuse to the fuel pump and running the car until it stalls... but say the car doesn't start? are there other ways?

Press the shrader valve in on the line or rail (can't remember where exactly its at). U can use a small flat tip screw driver. It's just like letting air out of a tire but real quick. It will spray for a second or two and be done
If it hasn't been ran is a while it prolly doesn't have any fuel pressure.

yeah i must have spent an hour looking for diagrams and outside with a flashlight trying to find it...
basically, i got a good way into a head gasket change and just now remembered about the fuel pressure, oops. the car was running recently, how much fuel it it going to spray if i just go at the fuel rail... a rag going to keep that under control?

Mine had very little to no fuel pressure by the time I went to remove the rail and it was running earlier in the day it was taken apart. Don't be a pansy, just jam a rag over the wrench and crack one of the banjo bolts. Done.
