What boost controller would you recommend and why? For my specific application, I am on a 160k mile stock block, retorqued hg, ddp, test, apexi intake, stock exhaust. I'd like to set the boost around 9psi to keep it safe for now. I'm open to suggestions for manual or electronic boost controllers.

Thanks.

Shims would be your best bet for that boost pressure. You could get a cheap MBC and it would do the trick.

My personal preference is HKS EVC 1.

+1 For the HKS EVC 1. Its even easy to install for someone who isn't familiar with wiring since its only 2 wires to hook up and one is chassis ground! I installed it on my JZA70 in about an hour which included the time for getting to that horrid rear turbo!

I REALLY REALLY enjoyed my Apexi E01. Best boost controller I've ever used.

I thought greddy made the E01.

You should be seing 9psi with just a DP, Exhaust and test pipe.

Boost controller on stock almost everything, just go to the hard ware store and buy 8-10 washers for your wastegate FTW.
