I have an NA with a W58 5-Speed Tranny, and I have an R154 Tranny that was waiting for my GTE swap. Well Im pulling my engine, rebuilding it top to bottom, should I put in the R154 too while its out? I ahve no idea how many miles are on it or the abuse it endured, what ya think? I was told its working fine.

I'm sure somebody on here knows better than me. But, many people have stayed with their W-58 after upgrading to turbo (not recommended), so they are interchangeable. I don't know if you will get any benefit out of it with the N/a motor. When you swap motors, you're gonna want to pull the motor and tranny together. So using it now, will only add miles to it when you don't need it. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Cars dead as of right now. I was gonna pull the engine WITH the W58 on it, then while its out and after it comes back to me rebuilt, put the R154 on it, then reinstall to the car...
