Posted on SF, now here :)

Ok, just spent the last 8 hours in 108 degree heat putting the car back together. all the plugs have a home, all the grounds are grounded tight, and hoses are connected. It will start and idle really weak at ~400rpm, and pushing the throttle will make it bog down and it just won't go above 2000rpm. Oil pressure is good, no check engine lights.

We made sure the timing belt was 100% exactly on, rotated the crank twice, and it was still dead on. We tried rotating the CPS 180 out and the car has the exact same symptoms.

Any ideas?

do you have an afc? if so make sure its set to karman sensor...

if not sounds to me like an afm problem... sometimes you can have an afm problem and not pull any afm codes... check the wiring for it and make sure its getting to the ecu...

What he said. You can also check to see if it's plugged in. :biglaugh:

as soon as i saw the reply i went out to check the afm. with it unplugged, it will idle low as always but as soon as you add any throttle it would die. plug it back in, now it will rev, albeit very slowly.

We finally tried turning the cps bracket waaaay out of adjustment to see if it would help, and what do you konw, 90t04 got it perfect. Switched it back 180 and bolted it down, now i just need a timing light and i think it is good to go.
