OK I dont get this, I put the timing belt on, turn the cams to TDC, but I gotta turn my crank to 10* right? Well I cant fuggin turn it bc the heads on and it builds pressur in the combustion chamber, so now I cant turn the crank to 10* and get ti read with everything else, I have no idea what to do...

Philly.
Cams should be at TDC (marks facing up) crank should be at 0, CPS notches should be aligned.

K, last qustion, when I turn the crank, I can kinda hear pressurized air from the bottom end around the pistons, the head is on and torqued, no oil or anythin in yet, is this jsut because some valves are open and closed or what?

I imagine so....how many times does your crank turn without your engine running? Its not something you normally hear. Obviously as you close and open the combustion chamber there will be a pressure system building up in there, atleast I would take it as that.

Time will tell, Im about to strap the wire harness to the block, reassemble the rest, drop, attach everything, hold my balls, prime the pump, pray to god.

My past 4 - 5 months of work over weekends is riding on this, please, even if youre skepticle of HOW im doing this, please pray for me.

Ok I got a vac line, no CLUE where it goes!?! I know where it plugs but its weird, ok, lemme explain, its a hard line with 2 hoses on the end of either side and the TSRM shows it going across the front to either side of the engine...

That line goes to the idle up valve on top of the power steering pump and continues to the fitting on the bottom of the accordion hose from the AFM to the turbo.

Thanks I figured it out. What Im trying to solve now, is find a picture of the tranny attached to the block while its outside the car, theres these 2 BIG thick metal brackets I cant remeber how they assemble. Along with the rest. Also on the GE there was a coolant hose near the back, I think there was a hose on it, but on the GTE it was capped off, so I took the cap from the GTE and put it on the GE, is this ok?

Those brackets are stiffeners...one of the front holes line up to under the motor mount and the other end bolts to the tranny bell housing. The stiffeners are side specific.

You'll have to give me some more detail on the coolant hose location.

Coolant hose, its the one that comes from the left side, you know how theres 2 hard pipes that run on the side? The lower one comes from the front and when it comes to the backside, branches off away from the block and then another part keeps running around the back side.. I blocked off the little branch off, like on my GTE, but before I think there was another hose there connecting to something else still in my engine bay, thing is, I ruined that hose and couldnt find another, and the TSRM it shows blocked off.... Im confused.

Ok...lets do this from the passenger side 1st. The block hard line does branch off on that side perpendicular to the block...on USDM cars it is blocked off with a rubber nipple (shown in the TRSM)....on JDM cars that's were the heater return hose is connected.

On the rear of the head there is a coolant fitting with a big banjo fitting...the banjo fitting has a small 90 deg hose that goes down to that block hard line. You want to use a new hose here man...if it pops, you will lose all of your coolant in short order. The top of that head fitting has a hose that goes to the heater control valve mounted on the passenger firewall...that is the heater core feed line.

On the drivers side that same block hard line has a fitting that goes to a hose leading to a fitting on the firewall, between the brake booster and the engine. This is the heater return hose on USDM cars.

That block hard line has one other fitting...it is the small one connecting to hoses leading to your throttle body and ISC valve on the intake manifold. from the ISC, it attaches to a small fitting on the lower intake manifold under the #2 runner.

It was on my car before, but can I block those off, is it safe? Or do I absolutely need to get another hose.

Ok...this is on the passenger side and you had it blocked off on your old motor correct? And it's shown in the TRSM with a rubber block off nipple...correct?

Keep in mind the heater return hose is on the drivers side on USDM cars.

mines a USDM car, I HAD a GTE spare JDM motor. It was blocked off, my GE motor that came out, HAD a hose there going up 90* to a T connector that looked kinda like this....horrible 5 mins PS, just to give you a visual IDEA, I CAN take pics if you need it...
