Has anyone ever changed the rear wheel bearings in their supra? Ill be changing them this weekend on a 91t and just wanted to know if i need any special tools or not? And do they need to pressed on and off?
Yes they are a pressed in item . You will need a press to get them in and out . There are a few tricks you can do to get around using a press . But I would recommend pulling the hub assembly and having them pressed out and in ..
Though it looks like you need a slew of SSTs, I did it easily with a set of large (>1") sockets and the races from the old bearing. You must have a press and a strong 2-jaw puller. Buy an extra grease seal, just in case, and follow the assembly procedure carefully.
