Won't bolt up of course.

I don't see the reason either. Our suspension design is pretty good and it's just going from IRS to another IRS suspension.

Only possible reason that I can think that you might want to do this is if you've gone 2JZ, and are making some monster power, and want the Mk4 pumpkin, and even then, I think it'd be easier to just retrofit THAT into the existing suspension. The Mk4 pumpkin might also be necessary if you've retrofit the Mk4 6 speed transmission, I suppose, and need the really tall gearing to make 1st gear useful.

In those cases though, it's just the rear end gearing that you want to swap.

The rear suspension crossmember would require a lot of work to fit, as the mounting points are all different, and even if you did you'd end up running JZA80 control arms and probably shocks as well, which would end up mounting up differently likely as well, resulting in slightly wonky suspension geometry.

In short: it's a bad idea, probably.
