Just seeing if anyone has replaced any of the red LEDs on the high mount lamps for the 89+ rear spoiler. Any info on how to do it or if it is not a good idea that would be appreciated. Two of my LEDs are dimmer than the rest I I believe a new LED stack for the rear spoiler is $230, so it would be a lot cheaper to replace just the two that are dimmer.

Mine had the same problem. I found another spoiler at the junk yard and changed the whole assembly. Not 100% sure you can change just a couple of led's, might be sealed.
If you can, let me know and I will take a couple of my old ones out that are good and send them to you.
I would check but it is at home and I am out of town working for two more weeks.

Let me know if you need to know how to get it out of the spoiler too!

Thanks for the reply!

I will experiment on one on my extra light stacks. I think super bright newer style LEDs with the same wattage would look amazing and light it up. So I will let you know how it goes.

Yeah...better to buy new leds and solder them in.
LED technology moved a long since our cars were first built.
