rear speed sensor

:1zhelp: Hi everyone i am new here and dont really have a supra, but i have a friend who has a 87 turbo. My first question is he has a two pronged plug coming out if the drivers side of his 5 speed trans(not sure on which one). But where does it go? Haynes does not seem ot cover it but we think it is the "rear speed sensor". would love for a simple plug in to make a $500 investment a badass car. Thanks in advance

IIRC, the two pronged plug off the tranny is likely the backup lights. Put 'er in reverse and see if the backup lights are on.

The other connection to the tranny is the rear speed sensor - damnifiremember how many wires it is, though. Doesn't do a whole hell of a lot - just a sensor for the anti-lock brakes.

I think the ABS plug is 4 prongs but I'm not positive (it's a 4 prong plug, square, but it may have only had 3 prongs in it)
