Will a new rear main seal leak when its new? More specifically if the engine has been tilted nose up with a cherry picker at a steep angle?

tlo86;1026133 said:did you install it flush with the metal around it or push it in as far as it could go

Because I took mine to the dealer and had them do the clutch and the Rm seal.
And my shiznit is still cranked up.
I didn't have the tools to do it myself last time.
I'd rather mess it up once myself and learn how to do it.
Than pay someones' premium to screw it up :3d_frown:.

My Cam, Oil Pump, or Front Main is leaking... I'm not looking forward to getting into that mess :\
