Since the car runs, I need to make sure it can stop.
i am trying to get the rotors off, the fronts were not a problem, the rears however....

I was able to remove the bolt that holds the caliper to the torque plate. On the drivers side the caliper was frozen in place, I can now move it up and down on the pin,but it wont slide off thepin. I have this on soaked with WD. I went on to the passenger side, the bolt came out the calipermoves freely up and down but it wond slid off the pin. Am I missing something? Is there something special to get the calipers off? I read the TSRM,but it just says remove the caliper.

Thanks
Steve

Sounds like you're doing it right. The shit always rusts together in record time.

Even with all brand new hardware, and using the best synthetic brake grease I can find, the crap self fuses together.

Just keep working at it. Only way I could get my old ones off was to cut off the pin, and press it out in a vice. If all else fails, get the torch on it and beat on it.

Nobody said owning a 15+ year old car would be fun, did they? :ugh:
