ok, heres the problem. lets see if anyone out there knows wtf to start looking for. i can sit in the car with the engine off listing to the radio and when i shut the key off i hear a pop/hiss(like the bov just vented only quieter) from somewhere near the engine. it only happens when it wants too. i cant make it do it either(my ride has a mind of its own.) it doent do it on a regular basis either. happend today, wed of last week. bout a month ago. im at my wits end here. again it only happens when the engine is off.

so any ideas people???????:icon_evil :1zhelp:

Could it be that you are inadvertantly touching the brake pedal and something is happening to the valve which holds vacuum in the brake booster.

Check the vacuum lines to the fuel pressure VSV on the intake side of the engine. It should click a few times, quietly, after you turn the car off.
I have ZERO clue what I was thinking of when I posted this, but obviously it wasn't Supras. Please ignore this post, it's so wrong that it's actually funny.

lol grimjack!!!! i hate brainfarts. and no im not touching the brake pedal. i have removed the charcoal canster recently but it would do it before i removed it. its not a bad thing(i think), but i just dont like suprises on my ride. suprises cost too much and my wallet still hurts from replacing the clutch.

i hear this sound too dude. it makes the same sound as when you put the head on for the first time and you give it a full crank roation and can hear the air being pushed and releived through the cylinders

when i turn it off i hear that slow motion blow off sound, but only on occasion. i figured it was a valve opened half way releasing air or something or some knid of vacuum leek but it never really got my attention untill now.

im not too sure what it is. i could see the point about the valves. i do need to redo the shims for the valves. any other ideas are welcome still though.
