I recently removed my non-working stock oil pressure sending unit and started to install the new one, and I broke the adapter for the new one off in the block. I've tried every bolt out I could find and all they do is eat away at whats left of the adapter, it wont come out. So I guess my only option is to drill it out and re-thread the hole? My question is, does anyone know which size tool I will need , and could anyone offer any advice on how it's done, I,ve never used the tap and die sets before. Any help you guys can offer would be appreciated. :1zhelp:

Where's IJ when you need him. I think the block is 1/8 BSP but don't hold me too it. What "adapter" did you break? Is this an OEM sender you're installing? If it's aftermarket and an adapter is involved then yes, it's likely to be NPT

I come from a land down under
It's 1/8 BSP (British Pipe Thread) there is a 1 TPI difference between the 2 and a degree change on the taper so they're NOT interchangable.

I'd drill it out some more and see if you can get a better bite with the extractors (as the wall gets thinner it may relax enough to come out)

Lots of grease on the drill bit and slow speeds will mean you're not dumping metal into the port.

Once you have it out pull the EFI fuse and crank it till the motor makes pressure and blows any crap you missed out of the hole (Rags and a bucket help here)
