I flow tested my RC550's the other day and had them cleaned but they spray pattern was nonexistent, they just basically dumped out fuel, it dumped out enough fuel but no spray at all. They were tested and cleaned at 12 seconds 5,000rpm and 5 seconds 10,000rpm. Any ideas why I have a bad spray pattern/ anyway to fix it? The injector screens weren't perfect but the tester said they should have been good enough for spraying.

I had my rc's sonic cleaned and 1 of them has a bad spray pattern. They told me not to worry and it wasn't repairable. All 6 are like that?

Did it shoot out more of like a jet stream?

I read somewhere that RC's shoot out a jet stream instead of a spray. I dont know if thats what you mean when you say dump.

I would contact RC.Im sure they have more info on their injectors than anyone else would have. I dont think they would just dump fuel in a stream. They have to have SOME kind of spray pattern. If it was just a stream there would be terrible fuel atomization in the CC.

Jet stream? They don't look to be flowing wuick enough to be a jet stream, but still dumping enough fuel. Plus wouldn't a jet spray be really inefficent?

I contacted RC, and they've gave me a few possible tips, but has anyone else had any similar problem?

Rc made the spray pattern that way more for power and not for efficentcy. They are a aftermarket racing injector. At hi rpm and boost with an upgraded turbo and whatever other mods you have you dont want a spray. Everything stock is for efficentcy.

I found this quote on an mitsubishi evolution site.....

Evo injectors will not work. Get some RC injectors, they spray a stream as compared to stock which is a mist. For performance you want a stream the mist in the stock ones is mostly for emissions.

Or you can search Rc injector spray pattern on google
