I'm getting a bad rattle from the engine at about 2500 rpm and up. Oil pressure Is good and it runs fairly smooth at idle. I've got a code 52 but that's it, it seems to be more prominent under higher boost levels. It sounds like valves any one else experienced this

Sounds like detonation, does it happen more when it warm out or when you have the engine under load such as going up a hill?
Code 52 means the ESA system is inoperative. Detonation shouldn't occur under those conditions (nor should it with ESA functional) but why drive the car like that?
A video may help us with this. A "rattle" is really vague. Even with a video it's hard to tell, but right now it's really just us grasping at random straws.
It's going to. Be hard to get a video because I only does this under load it is uncanny to a valve rattle but the head was just redone 6k ago

When my ECU is in limp mode, it has a ratling sound. I feel it like it's due to a slight hydrolock, because it runs piggy rich with minimal timing...
If not related to 52 code, considering it is under load and > 2500rpm, it can be something like a bent rod, a bent crankcase, etc...
