Rattle...Tat...Tat...

What’s up?
I have an 87 N/A and the damn thing sounds like a chariot or horse pulled wagon because it rattles under the body or something...
It sounds like the exhaust pipes wiggling back and forth but they are tight!
Or maybe like the gas tank is lose!
I don’t know!

uh oh. is it from under the engine bay, liek does it come from the engien bay or is it rattleing like shaking?

I have the exact same problem, it is a jingly kind of sound when you hit a bump in the road. I thought it was the exhaust at first too, but it is definitely suspension related.

Yah, I thought it was my suspension too...
Im not sure, I just dont want to be on the free way when my exhaust falls off or somthing...:icon_frow

We all know the drill for this... put it up on a body hoist, then wander around underneath shaking things until you find the loose bits.

I heard this before from my buddy's N/A. It was caused by the car wanting a turbo.

Lol. I had the simplest problem. When I changed my brake pads i forgot to put the clips that holds the pads and the pads would move back and forth constantly and making a rattling noise.

May be a good idea to check heat shielding..
I had a ghost rattle much like what ur describing, but it could be anything. I have yet to find the thing that was causing my noise.

Just remembered, i had the very same thing on my N/A before. It turned out to be a baffle in the middle silencer. Thing rattled like crazy
