My day sucked how was yours? Well today i started my dd(92 s10) and it sounded like shite. So i head to my buddies house in the chevy to work on my supee; and on the way it starts popping and backfiring at half or more throttle. So i figure no big deal. After getting there i pop the hood to find the spark plugs looking loose.(looked like they were jigging!) So i thought no sweat, WRONG! All the tabs in the spark plug wire stayed on the plugs witch =`s junk wires. After that i find two plugs are loose! So after a spell of me cuzzing the truck out, i relize i have to be at work in 30min. My mom had to stop at autozombies to get me plug wires. After installing, i take the truck for a test drive runs great! Bests its ran since i got it. The pos chevy still got a trick up the sleave. As im driving i notice the clutch petal feels weird, then i relize the clutch is slipping in 5th gear! I got to work late but the boss was cool. Japan FTW! Sorry for such a long post but im still pissed at my chevy.

Dude, that sucks.
My grandpa has a 90 S10, his dd. Over 200 grand miles. Changed the water pump once, no other probs, and it runs like a charm. :) Sorry to brag.

Sorry to hear that, tho. At least you didn't piss your boss off, and clutches aren't terribly expensive.

Maybe its me, but some loose spark plugs and a slippind clutch on a 14 year old vehicle doesnt sound that bad. Sucks that it happened on the same day, btu those are normal wear items....

I was thinking the same thing, I've had both those problems with the supra.

UPDATE! Today i had to drive my 89 s10 cuz the 92 died. The 89 is rusted so bad the back of the bed bouces when you hit speed bumps! Anyways, as im doin my job(deliverin pizzas), i enter a construction zone. A lincon town car stops really fast and i jump on the brakes and nothing! The brake lines blew out(rust). I threw it in reverse ane gunned it, I ended up "tapping" the car. The guy was cool and said no big deal and drove off! HOLY SHITE! He left! So 2 dead chevys and i still love boeties! I cant wait til my subframe gets here so i can drive the supee.

um, yeah. you can have them s10's. all of them.
all the problems you're having are maintenance related though. take care of the things and they'll take care of you.
