ok, I ordered my downpipe from hpfreaks like at the beginning of august.

I knew it had to be custom made and would take some time, so that wasn't an issue. I wanted : DDP, flex section, wideband bung, ceramic coating....

alright, the ceramic coater took a little longer than expected, but its still cool.

Yah!!! the downpipe finally shipped.... and then a week goes by. Still no downpipe.....

So I call up the shipping company, as it has said "in transit in US" for four days now on the online tracking. I get the reply from a lady that it was taking longer than expected because they had to walk it around all the conveyor belts at the exchange points. OK, thats still cool. She said it would be out for delivery the next day. It supposedly had arrived at the terminal closest to me that day. I am excited now :) today comes, still no downpipe. I'm like....."what the hell?"

Then I call purolator back and give the guy my tracking number. He tells me that it is still held up in customs and will be 2-3 more days in customs before it actually crosses the border and I should expect it at the end of next week.

WHAT the F&CK????????????????

Hey man,

I think we're downpipe twins because I ordered the exact same thing! Purolator shipped mine too and when it got here, the box was TRASHED! They didn't seem to care much about it either. Just kinda pissed me off, but I'm thankful there is nothing mechanical to break in there. Good luck with getting yours...not very impressed with the shipping company, but the downpipe looks sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.......:)

ive never had problems with puralator. they are cheaper than fedex or ups, they just take longer. also, they dont seem to charge the horrendous "brokerage" fees that UPS charges...

UPS isn't really good either.
I had sent my home stereo amp back for warrenty work to the mfg about 40 mi. away.
When the mfg got it, they called me, one of the solid aluminimum handles was gouged. They repaired it and sent it back. When it was returned, it was damaged again. So the mfg repair tech repaired it at the store where I bought it, instead of shipping it again.

now its going to be 10-12 more days before I get the downpipe.....

Going by what they think are days....I'm guessing a month or two? dammit....I have an appointment set up with my tuner for the end of next week to get the safc and fuel pressure tuned, thats going to be hard to do with out all of my mods in place. I have to wait until the downpipe arrives to build my exhaust..... This is some screwed up shit. Its probably still in customs even though they said it was in utah.....

I had to make a trip 50 miles out of the way to get this appointment....and now I'm going to cancel it and reschedule it. This dyno shop just opened, and they are very very busy.... It is quite hard to get an appointment with them. I will not ship or have anything else shipped by purolator, I can say that much.

man I feel your pain, I ordered a new radiator for my celica and it was the wrong one. I took the car apart and went to install the new one only to find it didnt even fit between the headlights. Needless to say it pissed me off a pretty good deal. So now the car is still apart and I cant drive it. Im stuck driving the damn integra (with oxidized paint) until the new one comes in. And we all know that driving a honda sucks, not to mention its an auto, which I despise :( I cant tell you how much I miss hearing the two 8's in the doors and rowing through the gears, even if it doesnt hold a candle to the supra

I am sorry to hear that. I have been using Purolator for like 4 years now and have had very few problems, I have probably shipped 500+ items with them and only 2 problems and they were mistakes on the person who received the package at the shipping depot, the forms were filled out wrong. I think purolator ends up going through DHL once it crosses the boarder anyways. I have had the least problems with Purolator than UPS, Fed ex. I will NEVER use UPS ever again. I ordered a $105 part from HPF and got charged $55 duty and brokerage!!!! thats rediculous, thats like 50% !!!!
