About every other time i come to a stop my car will die, no warning just flatout die. it starts right up after it dies and runs strong until i come to another stop. some times it will die when im down shifting, its really rather random. any ideas?

check ur codes. im saying it before anyone else starts flaming a noobie. well thats it for me im off to the hills!
could be other stuff, but ive had this happen to me 2 times before,, check the continuity of your tps , it may not be closing fully. id like to know whats causing this on mine..

If you have replaced your recirculation valve with a Blow off valve vented to the atmosphere, and it is not adjusted right you will have the exact symptoms stated above.
no i havent done that, in fact i havent really done anything to my supra yet.i just got it.and thanks for all of your help and not giving me shit for being a 16 year old who dosent really know any thing about working on cars.

Heres an easy test: look closely at the Tach when it happens, Does the tach slap 0 hard or does it represent accurately? If it (tach) hits hard its an electrical problem if not thetes plenty of other thinks it could be.
If its idling does it stay idling? Does it seem to be different after its warmed up? Does it run normal otherwise? Turbo or NA?

it has no idling problems, no difference when warmed up, runs fine otherwise, NA. and ill check on the tach and get back to ya.
i take that back. i just went and started it up and it wont idle. also, the esc fuse is missing, and i dont think thats normal.
