Random connector

This has been buggine me for sometime now, tried searching everywhere for this. I have a random connector just chillin out next to the hazard swith in the small little horizontal opening, which i believe should have some sort of switch or cover on it? It is a factory connector, and i have nothing to hook to it? What is it? as of now it is not causing any problems just one of those things. Any ideas?

If I am understanding your description correctly that is where my headlight washer switch is.

ooohhh yea thats correct, for some reason i was thinking the opposite side of the column.

ok cool. my car is not equipped with the washer that i know of, did they just leave that connector on all harnesses regardless? Maybe as an option?
