hey, i bought a supra(1988 turbo, targa) quite a while ago and when i was driving it home, so much pressure built up in the rad that it split a seam on the top of the rad, i took the thermostat out and it was completely wrecked so i just left it out and i patched the rad, it still builds up tuns of pressure and springs leaks. if anyone knowes what my problem might be it would be greatly appreciated if you could explain, i hope its something simple. thanks

Your cooling system is supposed to build pressure...to a point.

If your hoses/gaskets are original or really old, then they probably need to be replaced, and are leaking because they are old....otherwise you could have a BHG.

I would do a block test.
