Radiator Light

Every now and then if I leave my car setting for a few hours the Radiator light will come on, im guessing it radiator..the orange light on the left side of the cluster. It only does this when its cold and stays on till the car runs for a couple of minutes and gets warm then goes off and doesnt come back on till the car is cold agian... Any ideas?

Well i had this same issue, It came up when i relocated my overflow tank to next to my battery.

It was the sensor inside the tank that had to be cleaned out. But yes top them off and see if you can spot any leaks around the sensors seal. If not check the sensor its self, take it apart clean it with electronic parts cleaner and some water.

it's a coolant RESIVOUR, not an overflow tank. ;) coolant is pushed in and pulled out as needed.

i had this exact same problem. open up the radiator and pour some radiater fluid in untill it is full, then go to the overflow tank and fill that untill the line where it says full. when that done, im almost posotive the light will stop coming on. BTW, if the fluid is old then it will be a good idea to get the radiater flushed, itl let everything flow smoother

Its probably that you didnt refill your radiator back up after you burnt off so much coolant when your bolts came loose. Like they said, top off your radiator and when cold, put a bit of coolant or distilled water into the resivour.

depending on the condition of the fluid,i did the anal retentive thing and remove the tank, sensor and float. cleaned the hell out of them and replaced. just make sure everything is working okay, and you should be fine.
