race night....street car shootout

This local(jackson, mississippi) street car shootout happened tonight at the track. I'm so proud of my little supra I pulled first place in RWD street tire class. I was the only non-v8 there in the class. Made me a couple of hundred dollars richer.

Not bad for the old girl. This was a true street car race, with entries required to be street legal, with true street legal tires. Inspection sticker, licence plate and insurance required. I drove her 110 miles to the track, made 8 passes, and drove her 110 miles home.

The only bad side is, now I need a new clutch, as the last pass against a nitrous injected fox body mustang took its toll on my stock disk.

congrats! with your mods, im surprised the clutch lasted as long as it did.

I, too, have been amazed at what the stock clutch will hold up to. Mine is on its way out now as well, but it has done a good job of holding up (just barely) to a little over 350whp.

Congrats on the numbers and the winnings. I've never been that consistant but I'm getting better. What kind of competition was this, heads up, bracket, or best time?

Its kinda funny...when I go to the track, Im the only import there. And Im the slowest with times a tick faster than yours.....lol
