Is the compression ratio of the na-t still 9.2:1? If so I'd try the 4.30 diff.

I ask because typically if the diff ratio is too short the turbo may take longer to spool due to there being less load on the engine. But a higher compression ratio would help spool it anyways.

Think about it, 3.73 vs. 4.30, at what rpms will you be at in either if you're going say 75mph. Still shouldn't be too bad considering the increased efficiency of higher compression.

So long as the 4.30 is a limited slip. All Canadian NA models had limited slip, in the US, it was optional.

If it's open, you're going to have a lot of trouble hooking that up.

Try and find a 4.1 speedo gear so it will at least be close. I have one in my setup and love that I can get out of the hole quicker. I am actually going to increase my redline to avoid swapping gears.

I'm running this now and my RPM seemed higher just cruising in town but lower at 85mph than when I had the 3.91. Also it did seem to get going quicker faster and I don't much need to go 100mph+

It's impossible to have a lower rpm at a given speed in a given gear when switching from 3.91 to 4.30, if everything is working properly.

In 5th gear, at 45mph I'm at 2k RPMs, at 65mph = 3k RPMs, at 75 = ~3500

4.30 is good for around town, but sucks for any sort of cruising speeds as you watch your gas needle become a reverse boost gauge :/
