R154 noise

About to put the tabby back in but I remembered that the tranny was whining when ever I let the clutch out. I pushed the clutch in and it goes away let it out and it whines. I want to get it fixed before I put it back in just want to know what bearing it is

Sounds like Throw out bearing/clutch release bearing.

When its loaded up (clutch pedal pushed in) it quietens it down.

if its in every gear then chances are its either input shaft or gear or a countershaft bearing

throwout typically whines al the time but not always. that would be ideal. hope its that and not internal. mine did this and only wined when clytch was engaged because of the way the axial load was on it

Mine does this too, I am thinking it's in the input shaft bearing as it's only whining when the pedal is let off at idle. May be good for a rebuild soon and freshen up the internals as well
