To me nothing really hard about it except the damn tranny bolt it engine is still in car..my 7m had the stock tranny n it had 120k on it Idk guess the previous owner was gonna ride it till it rides out n starts slipping! But if the engine is out its a whole lot easier but its really not har once those top bolt are off!

pull the motor makes it easier to put back together and you have an excuse to clean up your engine bay paint some parts etc...

It is NOT easier to pull the motor! The main trick it to unbolt the pressure plate from the flywheel before you unbolt the transmission. That way you can drop the transmission straight down instead of having to pull the transmission back 6 inches which is near impossible. When you install the tranny simply slide the pressure plate on the input shaft, slide the clutch on the input shaft. Install transmission then bolt up the pressure plate through the inspection holes, this way you also do not have to worry about clutch alignment. I have done 4 or 5 clutches this way and once you get a hang of it shouldn't take you more then 2 hours. This is the way the the TSRM will instruct you to do a clutch.

Another important tip-
When you install the clutch, you need to leave the pressure plate loose on the flywheel, so that when you guide the the input shaft of the tranny
in through the clutch, the disc has some wiggle room so that it can self-align. This is why Toyota put in those two inspection plates- so you could reach in and tighten the pressure plate
afterwards.
