Hey guys, im going NA-T and ive got a quick question.

I want to install everything relativly soon. Would it be alright to install everything and drive it WITHOUT an SAFC? Or will that just higher my chances of detonation? I am using GTE elecronics.

Thanks for the help girls!

I think he means becausel hes going to be running higher compression (na block is 9.1:1 as opposed to turbo's 8.4:1 IIRC) correct me if im wrong.... I Think you could be okay without, but if you do go with a SAFC what are you using to tune with? i hope not the stock 02 sensor... hopefully youre considering wideband. I think itd not only be good insurance, but help ya out in the gas mileage end and the power end of the deal. IMO its worth it for power & insurance. Good luck on the conversion too!! hope it works out well for you... tune carefully!

I believe your ratios are right. I would think you wouldn't want to run it without one for long if you were going to do it and get it tuned on a dyno or with a wideband as soon as you can you so know you're running correctly.
If you kept your foot off the pedal I think you'd be ok with normal driving but again I would tune it a.s.a.p..

Run your car without it, work out the bugs if any, then add other electronics to it.
This way if there is a problem, you will have one less item to eliminate.
It should run without any problems
