Quick Questions!

So I plan on changing the head gasket on my 87 7mgte. I'm taking off the head ONLY and will probably machine it. However, I am holding the job off until it gets warm out again.

My questions are:

Will draining out the oil and antifreeze before I do this be a good idea? Or should I just leave it in there and drain it once I begin the job?

Should I use ARP head bolts or studs? What exactly is the difference between the two?

i would say leave the fluids in it till you plan to start the process. then drain before you start to disassemble anything.
