Quick Question

Im sorry if this has been asked before, I have searched and found nothing.

This weekend I am going to be rewiring one of my knock sensors on my stock 1987 Supra Turbo 7mgte. My question is can I get the wire going from the ecu to the knock sensor from toyota and if so what is the part number because I went there and they were unable to find the wire in any diagrams. And is there anything else I would need other than the wire?

Sorry for these beginner questions, I am lucky enough to have bought the car from a guy who is willing to show me how to do it. I just have to have the stuff ready for the rewire.

That wire is part of the engine wiring harness. A new one will cost you a pretty penny from Toyota.

However, a couple members here build and sell a kit to bypass the wiring in the harness, or you could make one yourself. Try sending a PM to shaeff or supra90turbo if you want to buy one.

you can also just get something like audio wire
but tv cable works just fine

search the forum and you will find some links telling you how to do it
but make sure you ground the braid because that deletes the static
you want the least amount as possible
