when running a maft pro, with speed density, and boost control, if everything is hooked up correctly and all the settings are input correctly, the car should idle and rev the same it did before on the stock ECU alone, correct?

it might take a little bit for the stock ecu to relearn, so it may try to idle low or search around a little.

as far as the rev, there is a slight hesitation at initial tip in you will have to try and tune out. it is the worst on version 4.4

Thanks for the replies guys, that's kinda the reply I was expecting (maybe I asked the question before? I dunno)

I guess I'll turn this into a diagnostic thread then...

Mods:

RonR short runner
Driftmotion IC
2.5 pipes all around
stock ct26
Aeromotive
rc 550's
walbro fp
12v mod
maft pro with speed d. and boost control
tial bov
IS300 coil packs

I think that's all the mods that are relevant...

Codes:

24 (Normal, with the maft pro, I've read)
52 (must have messed up my knock sensors :( )

Neither of those should cause my problem.

The problem:

My car sounds like a Subaru. At least that's the closest thing I can think of to describe it. It idles, drives, revs, everything it should do, it just does everything rough. Almost like a miss, but all injectors are firing, and I have not touched anything spark related that should effect my coils.

I'm not really sure where to begin my search to find my problem. Before everything went in, the car idled as smooth as you could want.

Any suggestions on where to start looking?

Thanks for reading this seemingly long thread, and multi quote ftw!!!

I had that hesitation in 4.4 as well. I upgraded to a newer revision, and it's been awesome ever since.

Oh, and my setup idles at least as good as stock.

justin, can you please attach or email your xdf file to me?

other than that, be sure your map sensor has a clean signal. best would be if it had its own vac source.

Yeah, I'll work on that... I honestly have not really messed with the maft yet, I was under the assumption(confirmed in the first two posts) that the car should run as it did before the install.

I'll figure out how to get the xdf file, and post it up.

The map sensor has its own dedicated outlet directly off the intake manifold, so I'm sure its a very good source :)

I'm sorry, I meant messed with as far as tried to tune it, or anything to that nature.

I have gone through and set all the settings for the supra, and gotten it so the car should run well. I have not hooked it up to my laptop, or gone in depth with changing anything from default for the supra...
