YES ive searched, wayy too many mixed answers...im hearing 140psi all the way to 200psi!!!
Im in the market for a 1jz swap and found THE perfect swap on ebay from a reputable company.
They told me 145-150 across the board, obviously cold and dry (no oil or ATF in chambers)

Click the link in my signature and read up about the swap.

The link to the TSRM for the 2JZ is in there. Specs are the same between the 1JZ and 2JZ as they use a lot of the same parts.

Standard - 156

Minumum -128

Usually you find them between 160-180.

I read through some of your info but Ive done a few swaps before. Did one in a FC and I rushed it and cut corners but I picked up another FC shell and building a track car

Ok so it's sounding a little low for my liking. I need something strong right off the bat, I can't afford to do a rebuild Anytime soon

Compression numbers go up when the engine is hot.

Mine were around 155-160 semi hot.

150 is normal.

156 is normal on a running motor. Usually you get 170-180 when checking them.

Do a compression test, a leak down test and if you can be allowed to, fill it with oil and start it up on the ground. It's not hard to do, a few power and grounds needed.
