why do you say that??? although it could be my bad recording equipment ($100 digital camera w/ video capability thats like ~3 yrs old) lol... It does seem to sound a bit diesely, probably because the camera was so close under the hood...

lol.. the fan clutch going out??.. it does have quite a tap to it.. whens the last time you adjusted the valves?

wow, umm, i dont think it has an exhaust leak, and also, it doesn't sound like that at all in person, I think that were I sat the recorder (VERY close to the engine) is just emphasizing that sound, because it is cheap, and was only made to record a certain frequency response, which happens to be the sound of the valves......and what makes you say the fan clutch? how do I test it?
