Quick 7MGE Question (prior to swapping)

I just bought a 7MGE that was in a Cressida, swapped into a celica and pulled from that. I will be compression/leak down testing it next weekend, but want to see if I am covering all the bases here.

I plan to:

Replace the Oil pan (and gasket) with one off of my 87 Supra 7MGE (the Cressida pan is different I think). Will I need to worry about the sump? should all be fine other than inspecting to make sure its in decent condition.

Replace the valve cover gaskets, rear seal, timing belt & tensioner, a lot of hoses (best way to describe that.. lol), all the front pulleys (they are chipped), the O2 sensor (looks broken).

Anything I want to make sure I do before dropping it into the 87 Supra? Just want to make sure I cover all the bases while the engine is outside the car. I do not want to rebuild the internals or redo the headgasket as it should not need it. My main goal is to get the car on the road, not make it more powerful.

Need to replace the whole oil pump assembly iirc. Along with the rear sump pan of course.

Got the engine about 1/2 way out of the car, took the rad off.. and slapped a wrench on the crank (can reach it fine now.. lol).
It turns.. rofl. This is a 87 MKIII with a 7MGE that was "supposed" to be seized. It sounds like the valve fell into the cylinder and is stopping the piston from coming up.. I think the engine may actually be okay. Still going ahead with the swap though.. just think I will build the one thats in it as a spare.. thinking it may be an easier fix than I thought.

Now.. after that little "aside", I think I need to use the intake and exhaust manifolds from the Supra (original) because it looks like the top of the intake is different than on the Cressida (single pipe vs Y-pipe).

On the 7MGE (supra one) is the belt tensioner for the crank to AC supposed to be adjusted using the bolt at the top of the tensioner? It just turns out and the wheel stays exactly where it was. Anyone know this one?

You loosen the nut on the wheel/bearing and then adjust the bolt on top. The bolt might be broken from improper tightening/loosening.

Im stripping out the engine bay when the engine bay is out and cleaning it. Its not my main Supra, but it was such a bargain, I can afford to be a bit lavish with it.
450.00 for the car with no rust bubbles on the quarters (although.. it does have some rust that needs to be addressed that cant be seen..) and a full blue leather interior.. no rips. Everything functions.
300.00 for the 7MGE from the Cressida.. and a bit of time.. and I got a very nice spare Supra. :)

I was wondering if I had to loosen the wheel nut.. just got my manual back from the gas tank shop (finally can fill my fuel tank in my 88...) so I will be able to check most everything else.

In regards to the mounts, do I just look for cracks or are there cheap replacements? (Toyota rarely makes cheap anything, but I remember seeing aftermarkets that looked like they were made with hockey pucks.. lol)

Mk4 mounts are cheaper than mk3 so long as you have a 89+. If your pre89 then just look for cracks.

Just wondering.. I believe it must be a valve because I can only turn the crank 1/2 turn either direction and it hits something metallic. Fairly certain that means the valve has dropped into the chamber. (which means I will have to pull the head.. doubt I can fish it out through a spark plug hole..)

Im thinking valve because its a 1/4 turn. Got the valve covers off (engine not quite out yet) just to peek and the galley was naturally filled with oil. The oil in the engine has probably not been changed in about 5 years by the looks of it.. and there was possibly 2 litres in it.. maybe less...

It may have leaked out over time while sitting but I think it was a previous owner who just didn't know any better.
