So I'm thinking about scrapping my daily driver dsm and buying an sc300. I will most likely go NA-T with it and I'm looking for ideas for a smooth turbo setup. Something that will need little tweaking and be relatively reliable. I passed up a deal to do this in the past and I'm not letting it go again! Any info ideas are appreciated as I'm looking to do this relatively soon.. Thanks everyone... Oh and I'm sure somebody is going to ask how much power I'm looking to make, for a daily 400whp max. Ideas are welcomed!!

I can not tell you too much about swapping but from what i have seen by far it is one of the cheaper routes to go NA-T then anything else.

There are a few thread here and people with 2JZ-GE-T engines dont know of any in an SC but really thats more of a small technicality. I am sure someone will pipe up here

theres always the 1jzgte ;)

sc300's are cheap, i saw one with minor front engine damage ran fine for $1,500 and it just needed a new bumper

Like mentioned above, you can get the soarer 1jz from a 92-95 soarer for about $1000 shipped. IIRC, it is almost a straight drop in. Only a few small things to do.

But, if you do go NA-T, get with hottscennessey . He's making some big numbers out of his 2JZGE-T.

Don't get me wrong fellas I would love a 1jz :), but I think I'm going to stick with na-t for a daily, it would be perfect. Especially with an automatic and boost, perfect combo for a daily driver. My main concern is the type of ems I would be running, I think a VPC/Safc setup would be best as far as simplicity goes. That with a better hg, injectors, afpr, and turbo/exhaust, should yield the 400whp or less I'm looking for. And yes sc300's are cheap, and I love them I should have bought one when I had the chance, I'm trying to find a 92 in decent shape. Thanks for the replys guys.. Oh and hottscennessey's supra is down right nasty!!!
